Introduction

ScanStory is a WebAR platform by M PRO9 PVT LTD. You upload a photo and video, get a QR code, and anyone who scans that QR and points their camera at the photo sees the video overlay in AR — no app needed.

Accounts & Registration

You need an account to create projects and generate QR codes.

• Use real and accurate details when registering.
• Keep your password safe — you are responsible for all activity on your account.
• Do not try to access other accounts, the admin panel, or backend systems.
• One account per person — do not create duplicate accounts to bypass limits.

Content Uploads

You own your uploaded images and videos. By uploading, you give us permission to process and display them solely to run your AR project.

You must not upload:

• Content you do not own or have permission to use
• Illegal, harmful, hateful, or violent media
• Misleading, fraudulent, or obscene content
• Files with malware or harmful code

QR Code Usage

Each project generates a unique QR code that opens your AR scanner page.

• QR codes are generated for your project access only — do not share them for unintended purposes.
• We are not responsible for how QR codes are printed, shared, or misused by third parties.
• QR code access stops if your plan expires or your account is suspended.
• Do not copy or redirect QR codes to link to external harmful or illegal content.

AR Scanner & Camera Permission

The ScanStory scanner runs in your mobile browser using your device camera.

• Camera permission is required — the scanner will not work without it.
• The page must be opened over HTTPS. Camera access is blocked on plain HTTP.
• Works best on Chrome (Android) and Safari (iOS). Older or unsupported browsers may have issues.
• Detection quality depends on lighting, camera resolution, internet speed, and the quality of your uploaded image.

Ownership & IP

You own your uploads. We own the platform — the design, code, scanner logic, branding, and backend.

• Do not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer any part of ScanStory.
• Do not remove or bypass platform watermarks or branding.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to all uploaded content.

Free Trial

New users may access a free trial with limited projects and scans for a fixed period.

• Trial limits vary — check your dashboard for your specific limits.
• After trial expiry or limit reached, upgrade to continue.
• Creating multiple accounts to reuse trial access is misuse and may lead to a ban.

Cancellation & Refund

Cancellation:
To cancel a recurring subscription, contact us at least 7 days before your renewal date. If you miss this window, the next billing cycle may process automatically.

Refunds:
All payments are non-refundable once processed. This applies to monthly plans, yearly plans, custom packages, and one-time payments.

Custom Plans:
Custom or enterprise plans are billed as agreed. Terms of that agreement apply.

Limitation of Liability

ScanStory is not responsible for:

• Misuse of content you upload or share
• Copyright claims made against your uploaded content by third parties
• Camera, browser, or device compatibility issues on user devices
• Payment gateway failures or bank-side transaction errors
• Business losses caused by service downtime, server issues, or maintenance
• Hosting or network issues outside our direct control

Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or permanently remove an account if:

• Illegal, harmful, or copyrighted content is uploaded
• Free trial is abused (multiple accounts, fake info)
• Payments are disputed fraudulently
• Platform security or admin systems are probed or attacked
• Terms are repeatedly violated after prior warnings

Data After Cancellation

When your account expires or is cancelled:

• Project access and QR scanning may stop immediately.
• Your data may be kept briefly for compliance and support purposes.
• Inactive data may be deleted after a period based on our storage policy.
• Download your QR codes and project records before cancelling.

Law & Jurisdiction

These terms follow the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Mysuru, Karnataka.
